Awesome styles has been running for around 6 months now and we’ve decided it already could do with a little makover, and we’ve started with the style page.
This section is the most viewed part of the website - and why wouldn’t it be? It’s where you can download, rate, preview and comment on all the wonderful designs hosted here.
You can view the style page by viewing any of the active styles like so: http://www.awesomestyles.com/style/dirty-board
The first change is the size of the screenshot. A lot people asked for bigger preview images and now you have them! The new images on the style page is 550px wide. However at the moment only a number of styles have a larger image but we’re working on the rest! All new and updated styles will get their images up ASAP whilst older styles are at the back of queue.
We’ve also moved the download, preview and information sections to the right of the image. These have been made bigger, easier to spot and frankly nicer looking then the previous blue boxes.
The other change is the comments section, every comment how has the same background colour, and the author layout has moved from the top to below the comment.
There are also new images through the site.

This is a brilliant phpBB3 style based on proSilver. Themed for christmas with great graphics, icons and backgrounds. This is a light style with blue, red and green colours - a great style for your forum over the holiday period.

Just a quick post to bring users and designers attention to the release of phpBB 3.0.4
This release includes a number of fixes and changes to the software. Users should update their forum software as support is only given to the latest versions of phpBB3.
You can download the package from the phpBB website here
We will also no longer be accepting any phpBB2 styles to the site as the software reaches end of life and support dwindles.

phpBB3 styles demo is now available in 6 different languages: English, French, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese and Serbian. Thanks to those who helped with the translations.
We are still looking for more translations so if you can help out please view this topic on our forums for more information.
We are now looking to translate the rest of the website, with our phpBB3 styles pages taking top priority in this process.

phpBB version 3.0.3 has just been released. You can find the official release topic on the phpBB community forums right here.
You can download the latest update packages and full packages from the phpBB3 download area here.
It is advised that you update your phpBB3 installation to this latest release. phpBB 3.0.3 includes 62 bug fixes, 18 changes, 9 new features including template inheritance, plus a new security enhancement. The phpBB forums will only support phpBB versions 3.0.3 and 2.0.23 from now on however phpBB 3.0.2 styles and mods may continue to be submitted here at AwesomeStyles.

For all those who use the vBulletin forum software there are two new versions out now. For those using 3.7.x versions there is 3.7.4 and those using 3.6.x versions there is 3.6.12.
Both these releases include various bug fixes and security fixes. This is the last maintenance release for 3.6.x forums and security updates will only be provided until the release of vBulletin 4.0. Version 3.7.4 of vBulletin also brings changes to the implementation of reCaptcha on the forums.

The style of the month for November has been chosen and added. This month it goes to the brilliant RockBand style by a great phpBB3 style author, John Olson.
RockBand phpBB3 style
This phpBB3 style is based on the game for PS3, Xbox 360, PS2 and Wii. The style has been released for thge games sequel, Rock Band 2, out this autumn. The template is a dark theme and uses a wide range of colours including black, orange, blue and white. The graphics and illustrations are amazing - this truely is an awesome style! Great for any type of forum.
