We’ve been hard at work adding plenty of new features to the website and today we’re glad to announce the release of Favourites, Demo options, a new layout for styles plus more ways than ever to find the content you’re looking for.
The latest maintenance release of phpBB, 3.0.5, is now available for download. This package fixes more than 65 bugs, makes a number of changes to the behaviour of the forum, introduces 9 features and fixes a single security risk.
The style of the month award for May has been awarded to the brilliant “Dark grunge” phpBB3 style by PixelRaider for phpBB 3.0.4.
This is an awesome dark grey and red grunge theme for phpBB3. Tableless CSS code, with a fixed width and rounded corners and “grunge style” graphics.
The next major release of vBulletin, vBulletin 4.0, is slated for release towards the end of this year, here we get a sneak preview of the new default style.
phpBB3’s release saw the new prosilver style, SMF2’s release will see a new default style dubbed ‘curve’ and the upcoming IPB3 too has a brand new default style. Not to be outdone, Keir, lead developer for vBulletin, has posted some screenshots and information about vB4’s new default style.
The style of the month for April is Black smoke by White Fusion Skins
Black smoke is a dark fixed width tableless design with rounded corners in black, grey and orange colours.
This style comes complete with many added features including the jQuery javascript library which provides mouseover effects and a drop down menu in the style.
Style package includes editable PSD and category header images.
