For the past month we’ve been encouraging style authors to add to our ever growing database by offering $50 to one lucky author. To be eligible all you needed to do was submit a style throughout August and we got plenty with over 35 new forum layouts for both MyBB and phpBB3 being uploaded.

Awesome Styles now has 575 free phpBB3 and MyBB themes and styles for your forum, with over 35 being added in the last month alone. As always we’ve been looking for a selection of the best in our database. Here are our picks for Style of the Month for September…

The MyBB team have been hard work on their forum software and today announced the release of the latest version: 1.6. The update sees numerous new features and improvements including an easier permissions system for Administrators (hint hint, phpBB!) and thread prefixes.
