The MyBB team have been hard work on their forum software and today announced the release of the latest version: 1.6. The update sees numerous new features and improvements including an easier permissions system for Administrators (hint hint, phpBB!) and thread prefixes.

The MyBB team have released a security patch which fixes 3 security vulnerabilities in the current 1.4.x forum software. Two of these problems are low risk, either requiring admin permissions or do not cause any harm to your board. The other problem however is a high risk SQL injection vulnerability and therefore you should update your board immediately.
