In 2009 over 300 free styles were added to our website, while over 200,000 downloads were counted and over to 2 million views of the themes and designs on the site were logged. Going into the new year we highlight some of the top phpBB3 of the past year based on views, downloads, ratings and our editor’s opinion.

Now with over 400 free phpBB3 styles, MyBB themes and bbPress designs to pick our highlights of the month we truly are spoiled for choice. There have been some great styles submitted to the site throughout December and here are our top picks…

We’ve introduced a new ’style history’ feature to the website to tie in with the release of phpBB 3.0.6. The style history of a style provides copies of previous versions of that style for older versions for phpBB, MyBB, etc.

The phpBB group have released the newest version of phpBB3, 3.0.6. This update not only brings a range of bugfixes and security improvements to the software but plenty of new features moved forward from the planned 3.1 release. The downside of this for styles is that there are plenty of updates to be made to get styles working in the latest version.

It’s Halloween tomorrow and so we’ve put together a list of a couple of Halloween styles for phpBB3 and MyBB on our website. Celebrate the holiday with a brand new look for your forum over the weekend!
